Application:
POPSO Hydrate (CAS: 68189-43-5) is a zwitterionic biological buffer, often used as a buffering agent in biological and biochemical research. POPSO Hydrate buffer is prepared by adding NaOH to a solution of free acid. POPSO is categorized as a Good's buffer. POPSO buffer is partly degraded on autoclaving. Used to prepare a stain for rapid reversible detection of protein bands on cellulose acetate membranes. Used for staining proteins after electrophoresis.
