FAQ:
Application:
Lithium Tetrafluoroborate (LiBF4) (CAS: 14283-07-9) is widely used in current electrolytes, it is mainly used as an additive in LiPF6 based electrolyte systems and as a film-forming additive in electrolytes. LiBF4 has excellent chemical and thermal stability and is mainly used as an additive in LiPF6 based electrolyte system to improve cycle life and performance of lithium batteries. By adding LiBF4 to the electrolyte, the operating temperature range of the lithium battery can be broadened and the high-low temperature discharge performance of the battery can be improved. Lithium Tetrafluoroborate, (LiBF4), Lithium Hexafluorophosphate, (LiPF6), Lithium Hexafluoroarsenate, (LiAsF6), Lithium Trifluoromethane Sulfonate, (LiSO3CF3), are the electrolyte salts of the 21st Century. The performance of lithium ion cells, primary and secondary lithium cells depends on the purity of these compounds.
