FAQ:
Application:
Glycocholic Acid (CAS: 475-31-0) is bile acid and a conjugate of Cholic Acid and Glycine. Intermediate of Dehydrocholic Acid. Used in medicine and medical excipients. Glycocholic Acid is crystalline bile acid involved in the emulsification of fats. As the Glycine conjugate of Cholic Acid, this compound acts asa a detergent to solubilize fats for absorption and is itself absorbed. Glycocholic Acid is used as a cholagogue and choleretic. Glycocholic Acid is usually used as an adjuvant of injected multivitamin. Its anion is called Glycocholate. Glycocholic Acid is a bile acid with anticancer activity, targeting against pump resistance-related and non-pump resistance-related pathways.
